EPA Arsenic Removal Standard |

On January 22, 2001, the EPA adopted a new standard for arsenic in drinking
water that public water systems must comply by January 23, 2006. The new standard 10 parts per billion (ppb) or 0.010 mg/l Maximum
Contaminant Level (MCL) of arsenic in the drinking water is a result of
The Safe Drinking Water Act amended by Congress in1996.
